S'ami grew up with her father amongst the S Tribe, though often went to The Silver Spire with him when he went to study with other mages. After her parents' deaths when she was 12, she went solely to live with the tribe for several years. However, when going to visit her brother, she was caught in the Calamity - nearly dying, and only managing to survive by the luck of finding her way to a cave with abandoned resources.While in this cave, she ended up making friends with an equally-injured rat, nursing him back to health and taking him as her familiar. When she was strong enough, the two emerged - running into Aya. They agreed to travel together, and S'ami ended up becoming Aya's devoted apprentice.Now, S'ami continues her studies in magick with Aya at The Silver Spire. She's mostly devoted to light conjury and thaumaturgy, though her specialties lie in potion-making and alchemy.

W'khael is the groundskeeper of the coven known as the Silver Spire. He functions as a sort of 'butler' to the Spire, its members, and its forested cottage.Before his current placement, he grew up with his mother in Thavnair. An alchemist and Sharlayan researcher, she raised him largely in a small village northeast of Radz-at-han, introducing him to aetherical and alchemical basics. Unfortunately, events surrounding and during the Calamity left him living alone in Eorzea's Black Shroud for several years.When the thaumaturgic witch Aya took his sister in as an apprentice after the Calamity, she soon sought him out with the equal intent of training. A few years later, the trio finally met up, and headed back to Kugane.However, W'khael's lack of magickal abilities led to him instead training to be a chef and caretaker for Aya's hotels, after a small amount of time. When she moved to the Spire, he came with, and has since offered similar services to them.He now spends almost all of his time taking care of the Spire's cottage, and is often a first face to meet. Otherwise, he'll sometimes come with Spire members on their missions to help watch their backs, or offer food and first aid.

It's possible he and your character may have just struck up a conversation when they approached the Spire or their house.| Empathic - quite literally | - W'khael is an empath! Though normally working, he DOES sometimes step out to the city proper.| The Black Shroud | - As groundskeeper to the Silver Spire, W'khael is most commonly around their cottage in the Shroud. He often takes walks through the forest alone at night - maybe you do the same?
